Writer, composer, collagist, theatre & opera maker, radio producer, songwriter, and performer Ergo Phizmiz. The scourge of modern opera and Paul McCartney's favourite meat substitute.
A live album, from Ergo Phizmiz's live show at The Song Is You Festival, Warsaw, September 2009.
The show featured Warsaw based musicians Macio Moretti & Piotr Zabrodski, and goes between solo numbers performed by Ergo, and songs performed as a three piece band.
"Soundart Radio's annual mash up of all things seasonal. Open to contributors: send us your Christmas noises, subversions, poems, etc. This year we feature work from Wrong Music, Oima, Ergo Phizmiz, John Rutter, Ren and Stimpy, Monkton Wylde, Lucinda Guy and more. More material shall be added."
The Ergo Phizmiz music in Jingle Hell includes seasonal collages originally produced for WFMU, Ergo's 2004 improvised turntable performance for Christian Marclay's 'The Sounds of Christmas' project, the Father Christmas speech from the 2002 Komediergophizmiz performed by Erik Bumbledonk, and the Sticky White Glue Christmas episode.
