Ergo Phizmiz Interview in M Magazine



Ergo Phizmiz has been interview about GARGANTUA for the PRS M Magazine.

"I’ve become interested in very synthetic, artificial music, almost like epic music being badly imitated by automatons. I suppose the music of Gargantua could most succinctly be described, in the time honoured fashion of sticking genres together and hoping for the best, as electronic-miniature-epic-classical-techno-supermidi-opera."

The March issue of The Wire magazine (issue 349) features an in-depth interview with Ergo Phizmiz about his recent productions "Gargantua", "Boojum" and "Eleven Songs", written by Clive Bell with photographs by Tom Hunter.

Ergo Phizmiz Trio in Rehearsal (mp3)



Well, fresh from a weekend of rehearsals with the smartly berollnecked Ergo Phizmiz Trio, here we are whizzing through a couple of numbers, recorded on a tape machine in the corner of the room, at Atelier Royale, Bridport.

Ergo Phizmiz Trio UK Mini Tour February 2013

Ergo Phizmiz will be playing a small smackerel of live dates in the UK as a three piece band, performing music from "Eleven Songs", "Things to Do & Make", cover versions, golden oldies, and his next, work-in-progress, songwriting album.

The band will consist of Ergo Phizmiz, plus Iain Chambers (of Angela Valid), and long-time collaborator The Travelling Mongoose.
